My sister has a very odd request. She has had a bout of bad luck lately and believes that doing something nice will give her good karma. Her ex-husband left behind a lot of bad memories and pain, but he also left behind a suit. It was the suit they got married in. She is tired of looking at it, and rather than selling it, she would like to give it away to someone who really needs it.
Description of suit: Size small, wool, black, plus tie on hanger in a zipper garment bag. It was purchased from Banana Republic in February of 2006. Pants are a 30x30, flat front, no cuff. The jacket has three buttons (also a size small). The tie is pale blue with pale-grayish dot type details. Retailed at $800, worn three times. She doesn’t have any pictures (they went when the ex-went), but it is very classy and won’t go out of style. There is possibly some room for tailoring. She is willing to GIVE the suit away for FREE, and pay shipping costs for a person whom really deserves to have it. Her stipulations are as follows: It is intended for a person (or someone who knows a person) who could truly use it to better themselves for whatever reason (job interview, promotion, graduation, funeral). They must type or write neatly no less than two pages on why they need it (or the person they know needs it), and how they are helping themselves by having it. Think of enhancing their life. You must include contact info: Please write Industrial Flatbed Services, P.O. Box 178, Bensenville, IL, 60106 Deadline for requests is July 15, 2009 and allow up to two months for decision, reply, and shipping. |
