I suspect they are very nice and interesting people but since my husband and I didnt have the opportunity to speak with anyone except two people (who were very nice) due to the noise, it was frustrating.

Welcome to the Rhone-Alpes. Chambery is a fabulous town although I am a bit partial to Grenoble. This will be my first time going to the Meetup. I am not sure if you said you will be there but in any case it will be great to meet you at some point and to compare our stories of how we came to start new lives in this wonderful country.
